After their last acclaimed performances at the biggest scene
festivals in Germany, they are going on a big club tour with a new
album in their luggage:
The Beauty of Gemina - music between dark beauty, passionate
and touching melodies and earthy folk. Fantasy and reality on the
club stage!
Loyal fans, concerts all over the world, chart positions, cover
stories in music magazines: The charismatic songwriter, singer,
arranger and producer Michael Sele has achieved a lot with his
band The Beauty of Gemina.
For almost 18 years, Michael Sele and THE BEAUTY OF GEMINA
have been celebrated not only in their home country and
neighbouring countries, but also throughout Europe and
especially in Central and South America, so that their tours have
already taken them halfway around the globe. More than 300
concerts in 25 countries are already behind them.
The new studio album "Songs Of Homecoming" (Release
September 13th) offers an impressive collection of ten masterful
tracks that take listeners on an emotional and sonically
impressive journey.
However, this album not only represents a homecoming in terms
of content, but also a musical return to the band's beginnings. In
contrast to the two previous albums, more electronic elements
and beats are used again, along with driving keyboard patterns
and Selle's unmistakable guitar work.
But everything is more finely spun, more filigree, more
contemporary in its arrangement and the interplay of minor and
major harmonies, which is typical of Sele and cleverly utilised,
runs like a thread through the album and develops a pull effect
that has never been achieved before.
The fascination of THE BEAUTY OF GEMINA lies in the "dark
elegance" of the music. In other words: in the charisma of
songwriter and singer Michael Sele. With his impressive voice
and a passion for telling stories through music, he has won a firm
place in the hearts of listeners worldwide.
With the new "Songs Of Homecoming" tour, the artistic journey
now continues and the grandmaster of melancholy has once
again impressively proven that he and his band THE BEAUTY OF
GEMINA are among the leading artists in the Swiss alternative
and indie rock genre, not least at the frenetically acclaimed
performances at the WGT in Leipzig (Agrahalle) and the AmphiFestvial in Cologne.
For the new live production, Michael Sele and his long-time
musical companions Andi Zuber on bass and exceptional
drummer Mac Vinzens will once again be joined by keyboardist
Daniel Manhart to present the new songs live.
